The below Q and A was compiled from
information on the SimWatch
|
|
- Is there Religions in the game?
No.
- Is there Extracurricular school activities like sports, drama and music?
Sure - the sims can play piano, basketball, pool, read, etc
- Can the Sims throw sales parties (i.e. Tupperware, Pampered Chef, lingerie,
etc.)?
Sims can throw parties... you can make up why...
- Will the appearance of the Sims home change in response to neglect or poor
care (i.e. overgrown grass, dirty walls and floors, accumulating junk, etc.)?
Trash can accumulate, plants will die, floods will grow...
- Will the Sims send and receive mail and phone calls? Are answering machines a
possibility?
Sims do receive mail - BILLS! Sims do receive phone calls... gotta watch out
for those prank calls!
- Can the Sims have relatives beyond the simple adult-child nuclear family
household, such as adult siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. in the same
or different households?
Relationships are as you want to define them, so yes, you can could set up a
neighborhood of your relatives if you so chose...
- Is there a limit to how large Sim houses can be?
Like can there be a huge 10 story mansion? If you have "unlimited"
money, is the house size unlimited?
Houses can only be 2 stories. The houses will only be limited by lot size.
There are some small inexpensive lots and some larger, more expensive lots as
well. You can also make the rooms as big or small as you like or you could make a
house with just 1 giant room.
- If there are sims on the first floor and sims on the second floor how can you
see what they are both doing? Is the floor invisible or something?
You only see sims on the floor that you are on. So if you are viewing the 2nd
floor you don't see sims that are on the first floor. You need to go to the first
floor to see them. It is fun when you see a Sim coming on the stairs though.
- Will you be able to sell the home your currently 'live' in and buy, or build,
another one? And still have the same 'family'?
Essentially you the player start out in a Neighborhood of 10 lots with various
states of houses. You can buy any of the existing houses or buy an empty lot and
build from scratch. You can bulldoze any house at any time! You can also evict a
family at any time... they go to a sort of family pen. You can then pick any
family and move them into any house.
- How do the phones work in the game, does every sim family
have a special phone number or do you you just click on who you want to call or
something?
You click on the phone and select the person or service you want the Sim to
call.
- Is there a limit on how many people can live together? Could you have
like 20 people living in 1 mansion?
A family may only have eight members but you can have lots of visitors over.
- Is it possible not to sleep in the game, could you like stay up all
night? And if you can, what would happen if you didn't sleep for like a week?
It is possible but not easy. You have to use coffee and/or espresso to keep
them up. They really wouldn't be In a good mood from doing this so they won't
react well to other Sims. This will also affect their performance at work.
- Can you assign rooms to the sims or do they just sleep
where ever they want?
You can send them to sleep to their bed. I they are really tired and are falling
asleep by themselves, they will crash in the closest bed.
- If the sims can not leave their property how can they go to neighborhood
parties?
They can go to other houses, not on your will, but on their own when you are
controlling the destination house. Another way to put it: you cannot send them to
another house, but you can get them to come over.
- Can they trap someone in a room on purpose like a prison?
Absolutely
- Can sims go to jail?
I think so, but I am not sure.
- In the screen shots of the game, the sims always have
different colored and shaped icons over there head. What do those icons
mean?
There are several icons that can appear over the Sims' heads: They have though
balloons that show you the topic of conversation (picture of Abraham Lincoln means
politics), they have balloons that express what they need (picture of hamburger
means they are hungry) or they can have a picture of two people with plus or minus
signs next to them representing their relationship to the other person they are
dealing with. There is actually only one shape. It shows you who the currently
selected Sim is. It has changed shape over time so some are just older screen
shots. The color tells you the mood of the Sim. Green being good, Red being bad.
- What about singing could we get the sims to sing?
They can sing to the baby. They also make happy humming and singing to self sounds
if you keep them happy enough.
- Can SimGuys have steadily increasing gradients
applied to their chins, which disappear when you tell him to shave?
No shaving in current game.
- Is it possible for a sim to be killed at his or her job?
Sims won't die on the job because you don't see them at work and its not
fair to lose a character when it is not in the player's control.
