The Sims - Questions and Answers

The below Q and A was compiled from information on the SimWatch

  • Can a home have a basement or just a main floor and a second floor (third floor)? Is there any limitation on the max size a home can reach (limited by lot size or sq feet)? Limit on number of items in the house?
No Basements. A house can have one or two floors. You are limited by lot size. You are limited only by available space for objects and building.

  • Can your Sim walk out in the nude? around the house?
    No. And no.

  • When you get marry how do you get the dress and all that when you say you went to marry some one how do you set up the wedding? And can you have a flower girl?
No flower girl. There is an engagement ring and they change clothes. This is all automatic. Trust me [Patrick J. Barrett] it is enough work trying to get them to fall in love and accept without having to plan a whole wedding.

  • Can you live in a city that is made in SimCity3000?
No, the Sims takes place in a suburb outside SimCity.

  • How it will be the game? can you control every Sims or only YOUR sim or you have to watch them or establish an action like "order a pizza" and you will watch them: "pick the phone, order the pizza, the pizza will come, they will eat and go to the bathroom"?
    However you want.

  • If there's not a day/week/month timer, when do you get paid in the work? How will they do with the money?
    You get paid daily.
